Fantasy Football Pick of the Week: Week 15
December 18th, 2009 | by PatsChowder |
Two thumbs this way. The PatsChowder Fantasy Pick column has been pretty accurate as of late while picking some pretty interesting names including Ben Watson last week. This week I’m going to venture a little bit from the traditional “pick an underdog” mindset because there is one man that literally jumps out at me as an impact player this week. And it’s…
Randy Moss
Yup… that Randy Moss. The one that lit up the Bills in the first week of the seanson to the tune of 12 receptions and 141 yards. Ironically, that single game performance still ranks as the only 100+ yard for any wide receiver this year against Buffalo this season.
But let’s face it, the news with Randy Moss stretches well beyond the confines of a 100-yard stretch of grass. His attitude has now been questioned. Suddenly, it seems as if the stories of his egotistical, me-first attitude in Oakland and Minnesota have surfaced in New England.
Whether Randy Moss thinks it or not, this is a statement game for him. Will he leave it all on the field when the resurfacing of doubt in his ability to fit in with New England lies right around the corner? Or will he pack in in, take his ball, and go home? I’m betting that big players play big in big games. This is a must win for the Patriots and it’s a must produce for Moss.
Prediction: 7 receptions, 120 yards, 2 touchdowns
