Thursday Morning Coffee Talk – 12/17

December 17th, 2009 | by PatsChowder |
New England Patriots

In a day where the NFL will certainly be mourning the loss of one of its brethren, I will veer from the subject of the Patriots for a short stint. Chris Henry was a talented player who seemed to have turned it around. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family, friends, and the Cincinnati Bengals organization and its fans. I raise my coffee to you.

Now, for your Patriots headlines:

The Patriots were short on the defensive line to begin with, but after some of the injuries last week they are scraping the bottom of the barrel.

Remember that first game against the Bills? Yeah, the one we should have lost. Well, there is a better Buffalo team getting ready for this week.

Tom Brady is putting the pressure on himself and the team, by saying, “[We] can’t afford to lose this game and expect to make the playoffs.”
