Tuesday Morning Coffee Talk – 11/24
November 24th, 2009 | by PatsChowder |Patriots and Saints
Set to Square Off
Good morning, Patriots Nation! On my Twitter page this morning (@PatsChowder) I tweeted “Good morning tweeters! Just think, at this time next week we’ll be celebrating the #patriots knocking the #saints from the undefeated ranks.” And I’m not just saying that. Yes, the Patriots are on the road, yes, the Saints are undefeated, yes, everything on paper will point in their favor, but (without trying to sound to cliche) that’s why they play the games. I’m buying in. I thought the Patriots would look like a juggernaut after knocking out both undefeated teams (the Indianapolis Colts being the other), but they fell 1 point short. They won’t let that happen this time. We’ll be talking about it all week so get a thermos ready. We’ll need a lot of coffee.

“Just continue to win and everything will take care of itself.” Those are the words of cornerback Leigh Bodden after his three interception game. The veteran sounds like he has been one of Belichick’s “guys” for years. He is taking full blown gulps of the Kool-Aid. After spending time with both Cleveland and Detroit recently, wouldn’t you?
Bodden even called out the Saints. But it wasn’t in that talking smack, running his mouth, way… he did it in a very politically correct Belichickian way.
Extra Points has gone and done it. They’re comparing the 2009 Saints to the 2007 Patriots. What do you want to bet that a lot of Boston media outlets will do the same thing in order to put the pressure on New Orleans?
Tom Brady is ready for the “real” season which apparently starts after Thanksgiving according to Bill Belichick. Good thing we went 7-3 in the prep.
